I'd like to start this entry by stating again for the record: That I'm no writer.
These entries are likely to be garbled, too drawn out and will never see a thesaurus.
That being said, let us begin, shall we?

From the age of ten ghosts have been a part of my life. Possibly maybe younger seeing how my memory is foggy and I have issues recalling direct ages :)

This particular story starts out in what I'll call "The Old House". The one my mother, to this day, complains to me that it would have been a lovely house if my "aunt had never played with a ouija board in it".
She's never thought that maybe she played with the ouija board because it was a hotspot for spirits, though. And the older I get the more that makes sense.

My mother had a friend that had children the same age as I was around when I was 10 or 11. I remember their parents had to be out of town for something so they were going to spend the night with me.
I didn't have any friends at this age so this was exciting. We stayed up in bed for a while just talking and laughing.

Around midnight, oh yes, I realize how cliche it may be, I remember laying awake in the dark while my new friend slept. I remember thinking "I wish she was still awake so we could keep talking" and being elated that I had made such a friend-- when I realized that I had to use the restroom.

I don't remember why but before leaving the bed I decided to look at the floor first.
I quickly decided I no longer needed to use the restroom once I discovered a pile of transluscent/silvery snakes entwined with eachother on the floor.

I watched them in terrified fascination at first, hoping they would go away.
The floor seemed like a liquid around them as they phased in and out of the hardboard flooring.
I decided that was enough and I closed my eyes and waited for sleep to come.
In the morning my new friend reported that she had nightmares all night. She never returned.
I never saw the snakes again
