I'd like to start this entry by stating again for the record: That I'm no writer.
These entries are likely to be garbled, too drawn out and will never see a thesaurus.
That being said, let us begin, shall we?

From the age of ten ghosts have been a part of my life. Possibly maybe younger seeing how my memory is foggy and I have issues recalling direct ages :)

This particular story starts out in my roommate's grandparent's house in Georgia while we were in between living spaces.

My roommate that I was living with at the time and I were soon to be living in an apartment nearby to their grandfather. So to make things easier on us they allowed us to stay with them for a few weeks because we were having issues with the last place we were living.
Their grandfather loved to talk about their past and make us laugh. I spent a lot of time around him while we were there during the day time when my roommate was away.
One day we spoke on a personal level of one of their parents passing away in the room we were staying in. At this point in my life I had dealt with so many otherworldly happenings that it didn't surprise me or make me feel uneasy-- I only wanted to know the "rules".
I bombarded them with questions- ones like "How old were they when they passed?" "Did they pass peacefully?" "What were they like when they were alive" "Did they keep to themselves?" "Have you experienced anything out of the ordinary around the house since then?" etc etc.
I wanted to adjust how I understood the situation as being "a good roommate" as to not disturb them if they were still around.
They had lots of stories to tell. About how sometimes the dishes would be done in the middle of the night along with being put up. That the radio would turn on by it's self during this. But nothing more than that.
There were a string of thoughts I had through this -- such as "His wife is borderline senile- she could be doing the dishes at night and forgetting to or just not telling him at all or forgetting to turn the radio off" and "it's possible there's an alarm set on the radio somewhere to go off every night around this time." So I took what he said at face value and tried to not be too serious about it.
However I did think it was important to let my roommate know since we were staying in this room.
I explained that it didn't have to be a creepy situation- that we just needed to be aware of odd things happening and apply some logic to them- like maybe we get too loud or talk about a certain subject- if anything happens we may want to change it in someway. They were pretty relaxed and accepting of this so we went about our business.
One night we watched an AWFUL movie, one that we both cringed our way through, that we had rented on a whim. We had curled up in bed and the remotes were resting on the shelf the tv was setting on.
The moment the movie started to end the tv shut off entirely. The AC, the light, the fan, our phone chargers, the dvd player, etc were completely unaffected. There was no electricity flicker.
I remember us quickly turning to eachother as if to validate what the other saw too and we laughed and said "I guess it's bedtime, then." And we turned the lights off and went to sleep.
We always went to sleep before that time from then on and we never had issues ever again.
